ihelpworld is the outcome of a promise made by founder Jamsheed B. Sidhwa at the funeral of a friend who succumbed to suicide in 2012.
Being the third suicidal death that Sidhwa had known, he decided it was time to do something about the system that is clearly failing people. Sidhwa sensed there had to be a better way to stop all kinds of preventable deaths.
An investigative quest to figure why our world does not seem to effectively do enough to stem epidemic like suicide at its pre-depression roots ensued. Sidhwa felt that whilst intent, effort and resource (limited) seems to be in place, it is proving far from adequate. Furthermore, little if none is being done from a wellbeing perspective to proactively safeguard people succumbing to depression and other health disorders in the first instance.
In being handled the way they are, depression and health disorders are not only claiming millions of lives annually, but are also leaving distraught in their wake, millions more family, friends, colleagues and communities worldwide.
The need to correct this situation provided Sidhwa the motivation to start this 20/20 Visioned Worldwide Wellness Movement.
